"There is magic in New Zealand, it comes from the unique microflora of the land..”

THE TRANSFORMATIVE POWER OF NEW ZEALAND BOTANICALS
The RAAIE philosophy is to harness the healing alchemy of the natural world, with a focus on rare New Zealand botanicals.
New Zealand botanicals are unique because they experience some of the greatest UV exposure on the planet. To survive they have had to develop a defensive mechanism: they generate incredibly high levels of antioxidants. These antioxidants benefit our skin in the same way they benefit the plants, protecting and repairing the cells to promote healthy, clear, luminous skin.
Harnessing plants from extreme environments
New Zealand’s land, alpine and sea botanicals have developed defensive mechanisms to survive and thrive in their unique New Zealand environment, where the compromised ozone layer offers little protection against aggressive UV rays.

New Zealand’s botanicals have developed their own defensive mechanisms to survive and thrive in the harsh New Zealand environment. They do this by producing very high levels of antioxidants such as flavonoids, phenolic compounds, alkaloids, and phytoestrogens. These act as ‘plant sunscreens’, providing protection for the plants against UV radiation.
Soothes and repairs damaged or inflamed skin due to its high concentration of arabinogalactan proteins (AGPs), which are known immunostimulators that heal and strengthen skin.
Packed with nutritious linoleic acid (omega 6), which helps maintain our skin’s natural barrier, and both hydrates and moisturises.
Native Mamaku Black Fern
Native black fern that contains a unique natural elixir of biopolymers and nutrients which lift and tighten the skin, reducing fine lines and wrinkles.
Protect against UV skin damage with the highest anthocyanin levels of any berries. Anthocyanins are like a "plant sunscreen" that guard cells from damage by UV exposure.
Seaweed from the pristine waters of the southern tip of the South Island has some of the highest nutritional counts in the world because of the ocean streams that come directly up from the Antarctic, bringing a plethora of antioxidants and rich minerals.
Native Red Marine Algae
Hand-harvested off the Southern coast of New Zealand. This sea algae is pumped full of antioxidants and rich minerals, providing long-lasting hydration and nourishment. In harvesting, we follow Tikanga Māori - a strict, traditional harvesting practice of the indigenous people of Aotearoa New Zealand - to ensure harvesting is done without compromising our environmental and social responsibilities.
Flourishing in sub-arctic temperatures, high UV radiation, strong winds and extremely dry conditions, our alpine flora is packed with nourishing oils and moisturising agents.
Wild-harvested Alpine Rosehip
A natural form of Vitamin A and essential fatty acids, especially omega-3 (linolenic acid) and omega-6 (linoleic acid) to soften skin and improve skin barrier function. Wild-harvested from Wanaka.
